For Women's History Month, we hosted Day with the Bosses, bringing together high school seniors from the Young Women's Leadership School network. Girls from the Bronx, Astoria, Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn were invited to a full day powered by New Balance that was dedicated to confidence, community, and stepping into their next chapter.
A special highlight of the day was an intimate fireside chat with Storm Reid, who shared what she wishes she heard more growing up, and encouraged the next generation to move through the world with confidence, curiosity, and intention.
Students spent the day hearing advice from female leaders across different industries, learning how to protect their mental health during life's transitions, and how to start building their professional presence through personal branding on Linkedin.
Between conversations and workshops, the girls had interactive experiences designed to help them dream big and reflect on their futures, planting seeds for their goals at the Bloom Bar, creating hand scrubs inspired by their personal virtues, writing letters to their future selves, building vision boards and more.
Investing in young women-their voices, their dreams, and their leadership-is how we continue building the future we want to see.
